Objectives
- [ ] Teach 500 students in 6 months
- [ ] Provide the course in 13 schools
- [ ] Provide the course for 25 classrooms (2 live classes per classroom)
- [ ] Onboard students to the Celo and BnE Discord servers
- [ ] Onboard all students to Celo (create a wallet, receive a transaction and use dapps)
- [ ] Train at least 1 teacher in each school to provide the course
- [ ] Colect demographic data and profiling info from students to improve the course
- [ ] Colect learning data (e.g., exam) to identify improvement opportunities
School Selection Rationale
For Phase 1, we’re focusing on the public schools in Salvador. Our selection criteria aims to include students from different profiles by using neighborhoods’ average income as the main factor to ensure the sample diversity
- Using IBGE’s data, we analyzed the average income from different administrative regions (as defined in the law: Lei 7.400/2008)
- We calculated the region’s average income percentile and identified 5 income levels bucketed according to 20% percentile increments
- We defined the following school allocation according to the amount of regions in each income level:
